No problems with care from Boots .Bedford branch.
What should be improved is the national booking system. I received a letter prompting me to book an appointment and did so on line. Three days later I received an email saying that Boots were unable to deal with my booking and that it would take at least another two days. The alternative was to phone which I did and booked my appointment after a 15minute wait listening to music.

Excellent service from booking to having the eye test. What let this down was the unhelpful member of staff on the desk, having never worn glasses I was hoping for a little guidance as to frames, suitability cost but unfortunately not. I was shown one pair and told to get my children to help? Also, I didn't realise until I had paid that I had a voucher, I completely understand it should be presented first but with children and so many other distractions it had slipped my mind. I know it could have been processed but the member of staff was quite disinterested and basically shrugged her shoulders at me. Can I just note that the lady who booked my appointment was fantastic and couldn't do enough to help and the optometrist was excellent. I think RB needs some customer service skills.
